Oh it’s back again! The dubiously delightful double gameweek and here we are approaching the 26th instalment. Now, there’s hopes of scores that hit 150 plus points with fourteen, yes FOURTEEN teams involved in two games this coming week. It’s a jam packed, bumper week of Premier League football and you’ve come to the right place for all the Chelsea FPL tips for Gameweek 26.
Tough opponents
Unfortunately for any efficiency minded managers out there, Chelsea’s tough schedule has only just gotten started. Olivier Giroud’s moment of majestic brilliance was a nice start, but it doesn’t get any easier. The Blues face title chasing top for contenders Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday before another mammoth European contention battle at Anfield on Thursday with the struggling defending champions, Liverpool.
This is definitely a cause for concern for anyone looking to use Chelsea players in Gameweek 26. There will be better alternatives, specifically from Manchester City who still hold a host of players that are walking-cleansheets.
Manchester City also face back to back Gameweeks, making this a good time to purchase some of their defenders over Chelsea’s.
It’s also worth noting that Thiago Silva has been ruled out of Chelsea’s first game against Manchester United, though he could make a return to the team against Liverpool.
FPL gametime for Olivier in Gameweek 26?
After Giroud’s stunning winner against Atletico Madrid, the Frenchman could be favoured for another run of games. Especially as the target man has linked up well with Timo Werner and provides the aerial threat that can come from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and either of Ben Chilwell or Marcos Alonso.
For his 637 minutes Giroud has a respectable four goals. Though his zero assists could turn some off the Frenchman, even as a backup option. His lack of minutes is another area that has been cause for concern, but Thomas Tuchel is likely to use the striker in at least one of the two upcoming games, making him a decent, if not unspectacular option.
There are plenty of more favourable options for cheaper than the 6.7m Giroud will cost you, but none of those play for a team with quality of Chelsea. For this reason, Giroud could be used as rotation player over the next for weeks.
He will be getting high quality service and has one of the best minutes to goal ratios in Chelsea’s squad this season.
Gameweek 26: Pick of the week
This isn’t an easy choice. Chelsea’s fixtures make their pool of players quite undesirable for the upcoming gameweek. But, if there was an area to invest in then it should be the defence. Even after eight games in charge, Tuchel has only seen his side concede to one opposition player, Takumi Minamino.
This makes the Chelsea defence one of the most reliable in the league right now. It also gives you a fair few defenders to choose from. But, to optimise the cleansheet bonus and make the most of extra point scoring opportunities, Antonio Rudiger is the pick for Gameweek 26.

The German is almost certain to appear in both matches this week, whereas Silva is already out for one and the competition for places between Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma being increasingly tough, especially with Silva coming back in.
Rudiger will only offset you 4.6m, a bargain for his quality. The German already has five scores of six or above since Gameweek 19 and will be a useful asset for Gameweek 26.
