When it rains it pours and when it doesn’t, it’s dry. Very dry. A drought in fact. Now, is two games a drought, no, but are some of Chelsea’s players going through personal droughts? Yes.
This might be more of a warning article rather than the best picks, that’s, unfortunately, the way the cookie crumbles when form is against you.
It’s been a poor two weeks on averages for everyone in the Fantasy Premier League, so here’s your guide to maximising your points for Gameweek 14 and how Chelsea could help you out.
Bye, fast German

This is a monumental mistake from myself. Positively though, I made the same mistake and so did a minimum of 18.4% of other players.
Timo Werner, Chelsea’s extremely fast German, is going through a slump. He hasn’t scored a league goal in five games and is struggling to contribute while being played out wide. He is also apart of a misfiring attack that simply hasn’t been clicking as of late.
Therefore, with the other striker options available, Danny Ings, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Harry Kane, they would probably all be better off right now. That being said, it’s worth watching the matchups every week to see who is playing who.
I won’t completely backtrack because Werner will come good, but right now he’s not going to be of much use.
That being said, if you think it’s not worth subbing him out because you have your eyes on a transfer elsewhere that’s fine. If Frank Lampard changes tactic this weekend against West Ham then Werner might find himself up front again.
Ones to steer clear of

Here’s a few more current Chelsea players you might be better off without in the coming weeks.
Another of Chelsea’s new German signings, Kai Havertz, has also struggled in a new league. The 21-year old has only scored a measly 33 points so far this year and hasn’t even registered 3 points in six successive games.
Although he’s only owned by 3.2% of teams it’s worth noting he isn’t a good investment right now.
Another one to miss now is Thiago Silva. Being one of the oldest first-team centre halves in the league he will find consistent game time hard during the Christmas period.
Silva has been pretty good for those that have him though. Grabbing a decent tally of 38 points from centre back is a good achievement but the Brazilian has dipped along with the rest of his side.
Because there is much less rest time in between games at Christmas it is hard to see Silva playing as many games as other defensive options. Not only is Kurt Zouma currently a much more reliable choice, but his goalscoring chances should also rank him above Silva in your options.
Elsewhere, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Jorginho, and N’Golo Kante are all pretty much useless in Fantasy Football. They all do a job that isn’t recognised by points so therefore they are fairly unusable.
Without being a massive goal or assist threat, this group will not be high point scorers at any stage during the season, especially against a resurging West Ham this Gameweek 14.
Gameweek 14: Pick of the week

It’s not all doom and gloom though. Chelsea have a fit Christian Pulisic back and the American looks to be carrying his side at the moment which will hopefully continue into Gameweek 14.
Despite not getting a goal or assist in his first-team return against Wolves, Pulisic was one of the very few bright spots for Chelsea. He is also selected by only 2.3% of managers, another reason he could be your game changers.
If the Blue’s form continues to dip then Pulisic will be ever more relied upon to do the creative stuff and grab the points for Chelsea and also the points for you!
