England

Ethan Ampadu (Sheffield United): Started in midfield in a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool. Was impressive playing in front of the back three, making 10 recoveries and completing 89% of his passes, and looked very comfortable handling the physicality of the Liverpool midfield. A tough match in week 7 for Ampadu.
Week 7 upcoming matches: vs Man City 10/31
Jamal Blackman (Rotherham United): Started in the net in a 3-0 defeat to Reading. Arguably his worst performance of the year as Rotherham was poor defensively and from set-pieces. The first goal was one v one situation that Blackman let through his legs too easily and conceded a penalty at the end for the third goal.
Upcoming matches: vs Sheffield Wednesday (Championship) 10/28; @ Stoke City (Championship) 10/31
Michy Batshuayi (Crystal Palace): Started at striker in a 2-1 draw over Fulham, forming a nice partnership with Wilfred Zaha in the attack. Did well to get on the end of a cross and put the ball in the net, but was rightly ruled offside in the 29th minute. Picked up the assist on Zaha’s goal to make it 2-0, sliding the ball perfectly across the face of the goal to give Zaha the easy tap in. He will be hoping his goal-scoring form changes in week 7, he needs it.
PL Week 7 upcoming matches: @ Wolves 10/30

Ross Barkley (Aston Villa): Started in the #10 position in a 3-0 defeat to Leeds United, ending Villa’s undefeated run to start the year. Not at his sharpest throughout the game, as Villa’s attack struggled to get going. Played in a shot from 25 yards out directly at the keeper in the 17th minute. Gave the ball away too easily that allowed the build-up for the third goal.
PL Week 7 upcoming matches: vs. Southampton 11/1

Jamie Cumming (Stevenage FC): Started in the net in a 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient, making it six consecutive matches without a win. Made a couple of great saves in the first half to keep the game scoreless, but was let down by his defense as a miscue led to an easy scoring opportunity to make it 1-0. The second goal game after Stevenage was left with too many men going forward and Orient was left with a 3 v 2 attack to finish off the game.
Upcoming matches: vs Grimsby Town (League One) 10/31

Conor Gallagher (West Brom): Started in midfield in a 1-1 draw with Brighton. Did a little bit of everything on the pitch, making several interceptions and clearances thanks to his relentless motor and pressing. Showed his ability to move the ball forward and get into the attack, having a well-stuck volley on net cleared away by the defense. Gallagher will be keen to help West Brom get a comfortable win over Fulham in week 7. Ruben vs Gallagher will be very interesting for Chelsea fans.
PL Week 7 upcoming matches: @ Fulham 11/2
Marc Guehi (Swansea): Started at his customary left center back position in a 1-1 draw with Bristol City. Looked composed as always at the back, making several clearances and passing the ball with ease. Had an audacious overhead kick attempt on goal in the 31st minute but had it cleared away by the defense.
Upcoming matches: vs. Blackburn Rovers (Championship) 10/31; @ Brentford (Championship) 11/2
Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Fulham): Started in a more forward position on the right-wing during a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. Was not his sharpest performance as he was clearly being played out of position, having difficulty finding open spaces, and getting on the ball for large stretches. Week 7 against West Brom will be a perfect chance for Ruben and Fulham to change their fortunes.
PL Week 7 upcoming matches: vs. West Brom 11/2

Ian Maatsen (Charlton Athletic): Made his first start with the club, starting at left-back in a 2-0 win over Northampton Town. Wasn’t at his sharpest passing the ball, but made some key defensive clearances and played the full 90 minutes for the first time. Started again at left-back in a 2-0 win over Oxford United. Did well to hit a volley from a set-piece just after halftime, but dragged the shot just wide. Completed the full 90 minutes for the second match running.
